| Chiodos is definitely the whore in this song. IF you watch the video, she tried to bury him but he came back, with the rest of the band. it also changes from him in the interrogation room coughing up dirt to her. (Btw watch it on Vimeo so its uncensored. MUCH BETTER.) Also the first verse is basically how they told him it because of all his side projects it was his fault that they kicked him out and that because of that he pretty much killed his career. My lil brother just told me about this band a few weeks ago and they've been in my playlist ever since. Basically it's about exactly what the title says the Body. Ill break it down as to what each verse says to me. I�ve been shackled underneath all these lies for the last time And I�m throwing them aside There�s too much apathy that clouds my mind Words cannot express the sadness I�m feeling Pretty much he's done with the lies he's been raised in, and tired what has become the normal routine. If this is all we are I�m walking out the door I want no part of it There has to be something more Speaking hope without action can�t be the end I can say, �I love you,� it�s never enough He walking out of the church leaving behind everything it represents. He's looking for something that does what they talk about. He wants to take action and stand up. Instead of saying "I love you" he wants to show it. Aren�t we the ones who walk the narrow road? Aren�t we the voices that come from before the throne? And when we stand for revolution�s sake the world will know, they�ll know your name. Pretty much calling for a change. The Body needs to change. It needs to stand up and start a revolution. Not a violent one but one of love and reaching out, of acceptance and deliverance. The last verse says it all. I won�t stand for this! This can�t be the body You spoke of! Because I have forgotten how to love I take it as he's saying he's over all the Bullshit, and the Hypocrisy. This can't be the Church that God spoke of. Because all it teaches now is close-mindedness and breeds hate. He's forgotten how to love because the Body has forgotten how to love, and love is what its supposed to be all about. |
