Karen O wrote the song about her ex who at the time was in the band 'Liars'. the title of the song is in reference to them always being on tour and how she always felt sad and miserable when she looked at maps and found out how far away from each other they were. Fact. |

Yeah I agree too, maybe not so specific about one girl but about the culture of celebrities that young girls, and to a degree guys, are falling into, and trying to look like someone else their whole young lives. I'd like to think it's more a subliminal dig at the celebrities too, and how they themselves achieve their perfect look, and end up becoming role models, that still take the candy up the nose... |
