It has Christian overtones in it as well. It sounds a bit like "The Great Tribulation". The bloody mouth could also speak of "Freedom of Speech" not being denied but paying a heavy price for it. Excellent analysis! |

Also you can have a Loaded Gun and a God Complex put them together you "might" get a loaded God Complex and so on and so on. Just my 2 cents....It is on purpose though. |

Actually you are probably both right. It probably is what is called a malapropism. It is a word substituted for another which changes the meaning of the sentence. It is probably suppose to be Gun but they intentionally change it to God. Probably to get people talking about it, if for no other reason.
Another example might be "she's as headstrong as an "allegory" on the banks of Nile". Alligator work better in this case and makes more sense. |
