this song is not about isaac found his god again and strengthened his faith, its the opposite! i remember seeing interview with the fray, when isaac is talkin about the song, and he said he had these hard times in his life and he almost lose his faith in these times!
every interested fan who read about the band members would know that isaac was born christian, but by the time he started to have some breaks in his faith, becouse of a let down after a let down in his life, and i think depending on the song, everytime he used to pray for god to help him, god did not respond, isaac once said that when writting the song he imagined himself running into god in the street and asking him about all of the things he says in the begining of the song."where where you?" he ask god where have you been, i needed you here, i needed you there, but you forgot about me, and that is obvious in the last part of the song too, when he says
"And I've been calling for years and years and years and years
And you never left me no messages, you never sent me no letters
You got some kind of nerve taking all I'm worth"
i think he means that he has been this way for a very long time and he waited for god to help him or maybe remember him and not ignore him, also, god is so angry with him for unknown reasons and takes everything that isaac wants to have.
anyways i think this song is one of the fray's greatest songs and lyrics, "adore the fray" madly

hey guys the song was written becouse of a fight happened between isaac and his younger brother for a girl and u can see that when he says in the songs, never thought that u wanted bring it down he means that in a time they were too in a very akward situation and his brother suddenly started to talk about he coz the were both in love with her, yea google it and read the song story. |

this song has touched my bones and shaked them and everytime i hear it i got to be all upside down, it just says everything happened with me the same everything, i loved a guy and he loved me but we never really had the chance to talk with each other anything just small things, small talk, we were like that for 5 monthes!! and then i didnt see him for about i think 2 monthes, so i went see him once just to know about him and i found out that he was gone to America and he will not be back, theres is so much more than that, but shortly gary talks everything in my mind he is so smart and deep and have the whole same mind, i just cant stop from hearing this song it just explain too much! |
