Even if you have met the band, not doubting you have, and got what they said they wrote the song about, it doesn't mean you tell people they are stupid for putting up interpretations. Music as a whole is open for interpretation. What a song means to one isn't always what another pulls from it. Music has never been about making it one way, it's always been about what you can pull from it and keep as your own. |

Ok, the song could easily be about god like many are saying. But songsd usually have many interpretations. Don't tell somebody that their opinion is wrong just because you heard differently. This site is for your opinions to be posted on songs. Personally i think it is about a child to a parent and the child is really independant, yet they are glad they have their parents protection. But lines like 'you never change' is an unconditional love even through the worst. My opinion, so call me wrong just know i am entitled to my opinion. |

I think he means in this song that he has been through a lot in his life. He fakes a smile to make people feel better, but hes just sick of it and wants to just spend his life with those he loves without the problems in his life affecting him. |

I think one of the many interpretations of this song, and this is my opinion, is that Corey is saying that the world is a place where people try to tell you how to live, what to believe in, and what to do. But it is just as easy to live your own life and do what you want so hes telling someone he doesnt want to be apart of their sillyword |
