I just recently found this song and I really wish I had found it sooner. I relate to this song completely... Except for the parts saying boy. Lol But my dad left when I was younger. I always feel like something is gone in my life cuz he doesn't really talk to me. He knows my brothers birthday but not mine and he doesn't know how to spell my name. Going to a school where almost everybody's parents are together and happy still definitely takes it's tolls and this song is the perfect explanation of what I am personally going through.... This song shows from the worst situations to the best, don't worry about what you go through on Earth because this is not where you are going to be staying forever. Earth is only temporary, your eternal home is Heaven. I absolutely love this song. One of my faves on her new CD. |

I think this song is utterly amazing. I believe it is about someone (her as the narrator) not believing love exists. At the beginning with the whole "momma and daddy" thing, I think that they fought and divorced so she doesn't believe in love so she won't sing about it because it doesn't exist. She then met a guy who made her feel love and he was the exception she found to her promise. Hence: the only exception. ~Not that deep of a song to figure out but still amazingly written and an amazing song :]~ ~Kaila~ |
