| David Bowie – Sweet Thing Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I think this song is simply about the hollowness of casual sex. Prostitution definitely plays into that, but I think it's simply meeting someone in a night and running to the closest doorway to release their loneliness. After years of that, especially in the lonely life of a rock star who never gets to be at home with his or her family, constantly on the move, surrounded by strangers, or even just a drifter or bachellor/ette for too long, growing old while seeing their peers falling in love, having new lives and families... It's devastating and crippling of the soul and mentality of the person who's never had a closer, more intimate connection. A very sad song, a very sad, bittersweet album. | |

Not attractive at all; just despairingly pathetic. I totally get the creeper vibe from this song. Teen angst has a lot to do with sexual frustration, but not this bad. This kid sounds like he's had a shitty life and some definite loose screws and wants to date rape. Idk about killing anyone though. I think he feels disgusted in himself for his chemical and sexual indulgences, but questions morality because he hasn't seen any good examples of morality in his upbringing. Therefore, is going to try anyway he can to get in this poor girl's pants, bless her soul. God, reminds me of a creep who totally tried to pull that stuff on me in early college. *Shudders* |

| Talking Heads – Heaven Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I always liked that he compared Heaven to a bar and to a party. Whenever I go to a wild and crazy party or pub, I notice how we all get shit faced and not actually produce anything but joy -or sadness and emptiness. It reminds me of partying and socializing too much and not finding any deeper purpose in life, if there is one; which can leave a person feeling joy in nothing, or not finding joy in anything, or both. | |

Could this song have any reference to Iggy Pop? The whole, "Ive been there, I'll help you with the pain" makes me think of how both of them made friends real fast and could relate to each other's battles with heroin. The whole "turn on to me" reminds me of when my friend almost overdosed and we had to keep him awake to keep him alive. So this song is powerful to me, but it also makes me wonder if its any reference to Iggy Pop and Bowie trying to help him even he needed help himself. Anyone have anything to correct or say? |

| Bauhaus – The Three Shadows, Pt. 2 Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I can't believe no one has commented on this song! It's so lovely and gloomy and symbolic. Does the pink baby flesh refer to the baby Jesus? Or just mankind in general? Someone give me some food for thought! | |

I kind of agree with Iron13, but simpler. Like the guy was in a group of people, like a party, and made a comment that he though would be funny, but turned out to be taken very offensively. Or mentioned a dark secret that he thought was out in the open. For example; A man mentions on the internet how his brother in law has come out of the closet, only to find out that no one outside of the family knew, and now the whole world knows, and he is considered a jerk because of it. Another example: Any Ben Stiller movie where he is the main character, (Something About Mary, Meet the Parents, etc.) |
