This song seems to be a farewell to a suicide victim. It describes the different ways he/she might have killed themselves. "All that junk you filled your bones with" may refer to poisoning. "All that rope you hang your neck with" refers to hanging. "All that river swept you under" refers to drowning. "All the air that flows through your head" refers to gunshot. For each, the singer states that the death has hurt and affected everyone around them, but holds that the the victim has found a new home. |
