To me this song is about breakup as it brings me back to the day i broke up with my first love. for me it was sooooo painful... and this song in a way tells me my own story. i felt very alone and very hurt. didn't expetct it would be that hard... when i listened to "Soma" i felt hate for the guy as if he was saying these words to me... "nothing left to say..." etc. and most of the lyrics were "my" words addressed to him... "I'm all by myself As ive always felt I'll betray myself To anyone..." and it lasts the whole song. so you see, for me it's my own story)))) i even translated the lyrics into my language which is not english)))))))) i'm happy now but still love the song for its power. great song as most of the songs writtwn by billy corgan. |
