I agree it is about being addicted and hurting people you once and still love.. my BF stayed away and wouldn't call when he was high on meth and would say he couldn't call.etc...this is his apology and explaination to his girl now that he is sober. |

The song is about an addict calling his girl after getting sober....been a while since I wasn't addicted, can stand on my own two feet again, since I looked at my self straight..etc... but still remembers good times and feelings with her this is his first time talking to her since he was an addict... hope this helps. |

The words displayed in this song are so true to anyone who has ever loved someone who had a addiction... they loved you but lost contact with you and are now different off the drug.. there are still alot of things they can remember good about you..etc..this song really says alot |

I agree ...read my post...this song is about meth...the fire (lighting up) break away... get my self higher... staying up all night like a Vampire...duh....it clearly says it all except the drug name... people are reading between lines for different meanings... |

I honestly think he struggles with addiction but is still getting high to not give a f*** anymore...higher places is on drugs... if it was simply spiritual he wouldn't say tonight we start the fire...(thats lighting up dope) also wouldn't say I can't give it up... he like most addicts don't wanna get high but light up anyway to escape... |

This is a great song...his father had a drinking problem and it effected his life and then his dad got clean etc..so he says..his moms new hubby is a drunk also....father....step father....my drug is a heartbreaker,etc...the pain that comes with living with an addict |

This song is clearly about smoking Meth. My head is spinning...(wanna get high) at night I feel like a vampire (because of staying awake all night) I'll try to get myself higher (chasing the high with more and more) start the fire ( lighting up meth) break away from everyone and everything take your self to higher places (high and no longer care about anything..) Who ever said this song was not about drugs is mistaken they did everything but say the name.. |
