I heard this song when I was surfing on pandora. I instantly was amazed at how accurately it described the girlfriend I had at the time. I was so excited when I told her about it. Surprisingly she also discovered it the very same day. To this day, I swear that this song was written for her and how I felt about her. |

The first time I heard this song, I was in a grocery store parking lot. It was the end of a first date I had with someone whom I came to believe was the love of my life. She started playing it for me and we started dancing right there, next to her car, in the middle of the parking lot. I never thought love at first sight was a real thing until that moment. That woman saved my soul. It is a true shame that we had to end. |

To me, this song has deep personal meaning. A year ago, I was in love with who I thought was to be the love of my life. Long story short, we are no longer together. Since we broke up, I tried with all of my being to get over her. To date, I've failed. I'm haunted by memories of a relationship that was absolutely perfect. I never thought there could be such a thing as a fairy tale romance, I thought it was a myth. Well, accept for the fact that it ended, I was proven wrong. This song has personal meaning to me. Last year I was about to join the army. My girlfriend at the time played this song for me. It was the first time I ever heard any Within Temptation song, I thought it was absolutely beautiful. My girlfriend was apprehensive about me joining. Her sister was fresh back from Iraq and the army did a whizbang job of screwing up her life. Little did I know how upset my girlfriend was about me joining. A week into bootcamp, she dumped me. We have talked a little after I returned back from training, she explained to me why she played this song. Long story short, this song expressed how she felt about what was happening. A year later and this song still affects me to my core, along with several other Within Temptation songs. Still, to this day I remain a haunted man. |
