well actually this song can be interpreted in a number of different ways. The eyes could also represent an element of lust. Like seeing someone across the room, that their eyes are able to cut through the crowd, in order to draw the other. Feeling like an insect could also mean feeling like they're being watched. And also when they are about to leave, the eyes draw them back. |

I think this song is about how one feels in a relationship "feeling like an insect", refers to feeling inferior.
"Those eyes" "sharp like sharpest knife". Eye contact is one of the strongest forms of communication. And simply "those eyes" are able to cut like "sharpest knife". And "knife" representing some form of pain for the other. I think this song presents an imbalance of power in a relationship. The one who posesses "those eyes" is able to control the other who is "going away" trying to leave the relationship, but in turn is convinced to come back "with the things that you do and say", even though they "feel like an insect". |
