well in my point of veiw, i think this song has a really basic meaning to it. so its about a guy (the narrorater) who had this girl and lost the chance with her because he repeatly made the mistake of loosing her. At first he may have just used her for the fun of it but than he lost her and used her again and lost her. than he found that he DID actually like her for her and tried to get her back but it was no use now because she thought it was just for fun once again. now that hes lost someone important to him it will haunt him because of the tradgic mistake he made. Finally he wants her to promise him just a little piece of her heart. of course i could be wrong. this is what i got out of the song.
