| Third Eye Blind – Red Star Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I love this song... He is speaking of a girl that was way more beautiful when she was herself and fought for what she believes in. She was truly beautiful when she did what her gut told her to. I definitely agree with whoever said the song is haunting... and sad because she gave up her beliefs. I feel bad for the guy who she let down by conforming. The girl he sings of reminds me of that person who was so beautifully unique and different, and who shocked you when he/she turned out to be like everyone else.. what ever happened to being loyal to yourself and stickijng to your beliefs? mann | |
| Third Eye Blind – 10 Days Late Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This song is pretty straight-forward... he got a girl pregnant (or it seems he has) and he doesn't know what to do... when the background singers start chanting about "baby daddies keep your boo" or whatever, I think it represents all of the people in his life telling him to stay with her for the baby... | |

This song could be about a girl who was abused by some guy (as everyone previously mentioned) and who used to go to their shows all the time... someone who just enjoyed life, lived it to the fullest, and was the girl that would let her hair down and dance around at their concerts, until some incident happened. "Let me break it down till I force the issue We miss your face and you know I wish you Would come back down to the Dalva Bar You tell them, that's just my battle scar I want to kiss you And knock them down like we used to You're the marigold Till you're walking down shaking that ass again And then you walk on baby walk on You walk on On and on You're an angel in the pit with her hands in the air And we're missing you" (I absolutely adore this verse!! It's so kick ass and is great advice. I don't think he is belittling her issue. He is just trying to remind her of her old self and what she is capable of. He wants her to understand that she is as beautiful as she has ever been. This verse could apply to so much more than the situation of a girl being raped. He is simply telling her he is missed and to go back into the world and show them what she is really made of.) " Back down the bully to the back of the bus Cause it's time for them to be scared of us Till you're yelling, how we living cause you got the ball Then you rock on baby, rock on, your rock on On and on You're a summer time hottie with her socks in the air Screaming I don't care baby I don't care" (I love this part also.. It makes me forget about all of the people that have hurt me in the past, and convinces me to live it up and not give a fuck about them). love love love this song and loved it when they played it in concert last week!! |

| Third Eye Blind – Bonfire Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Well I just saw them in concert, and Jenkins said that it's about trying to coax girl at a bonfire to have sex with him. I agree with what someone was saying about how women (or one night stands) come and go all of the time, yet this one girl could be special for some reason. It confuses me when he says that he "really loves" her... because drunken sex isn't love to me. Maybe he thought that he wanted a random hook-up, but it ended up meaning so much more to him? When he says "I really love you!", I picture a guy lying to a girl and exaggerating his "love" so that she'll fuck him, which makes me think he's an assole haha. | |
| Third Eye Blind – Blinded (When I See You) Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Ahhh this is one of my absolute favorite songs! It's such a beautiful song, yet makes me sad. In the beginning, he talks about how he has become "an old friend", when he used to be something so much more to her. Yet, he is still "blinded" by her everytime... I think about being blinded by the sun, how you have to look away because it hurts your eyes. Maybe he is trying to say that everytime he looks at her, all of the feelings he had for in the past come rushing back, or maybe that they never left, and it kills him that they can't go back to the way their relationship was in the past. Or maybe, that he is so blinded by her, he has no idea why he is really holding on. And I see you fogging up the mirror Vapor around your body glistens in the shower And I wanna stay right here And go down on you for an hour Or stay and let the day just fade away In a wild dedication Take the moment of hope And let it run (This part leads me to believe that they randomly have sex, and there is this little flicker of hope that things could really go back to the way they once were, but it doesn't.) |

| Third Eye Blind – Can You Take Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I love this song and I think he is talking about wanting someone to come into his life and really excite you, someone that surprises you and makes you want more. He says he wants "no resistance"- someone that will just go for it; no holding back. He is wondering if this person can really fill his longing for someone new, fun, and wild. Of course, it's obvious that he wants to have a sexual relationship with this person.. I think we can all relate to wanting someone to make us excited about life again (: | |
| Third Eye Blind – Forget Myself Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think that this is one of Third Eye Blind's more straight-foward songs..Clearly, it is about his relationship with Charlize Theron and about being in the public eye. "Could you believe it? Those sapphire eyes The brilliant girl with the famous thighs Then camera clicks and then we are stars" (Basically, he and everyone around him cannot believe that he is with a celebrity) "I go crazy when you walk in the room I laugh at myself with the girl in bloom The taste of sex couldn't be too soon All afternoon then LA parties in the phony lands Phony grabs with the manicured hands I always thought you are pretty like a whip I should've watched my step" ^^These lines make me sad... He goes from being so in love and infatuated with her to almost scolding himself for not being more careful. I keep on forgetting myself And I keep on forgetting myself Who am I? We both don't know Time ticks by, where did it go? (He is forgetting everything he stood for in the past because of her... He is unsure of who he really is and has changed for her. Therefore, they both do not know him.. He has been so caught up in being with her that he hasn't paid attention to how much time has passed by and how long he has been pretending) Think I'm looking over your shoulder Because there's someone younger and you're feeling older You're crazy and you never faded (my favorite linee) Don't want to be so complicated (I guess maybe Charlize was paranoid and he thought she was insane for even questioning his love for her.. He is tired of all of the speculation and being in the public eye and their relationship is getting wayyy too hard) This song always makes me incredibly sad... he loves her.. or did, yet lost himself in the process. It makes me sad because if their were other circumstances (if she wasn't in the public eye), they could have made it through. |

| Third Eye Blind – Faster Lyrics | 15 years ago |

This song kind of confuses me, but it is one of my favorite songs... I just saw them perform it last week and it was AMAZING... Anyway, I think a lot of people have made good points. In the beginning he speaks of a party, being high or drunk or whatever, and having sex with a girl that he thinks will change him... and she doesn't. He always thinks that the next "fallen" girl he meets will save him, maybe because she is fuckedd up from drug use too? Who knows. When he says, "I want to get off one time and not apologize", it seems clear to me that he is incapable of getting the girl off.. and when she talks about fucking another guy badly, it's a blow to him because some random person on a poster can get her off, and he can't, even though he is in person, right beside her. |

| Third Eye Blind – Farther Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think that this song is about a guy who treats a girl like crap... he says nothing means so much to him, so why is he holding onto the memory of her? I think he is confused by his own feelings... He doesn't even understand why he still thinks about this girl that he is "farther" from every day, yet he is still thinking about her.. regardless of the fact that he says, "I don't see why I should hold so tightly to a memory that I can't speak of I think about it nightly how you opened up your life for me".. Of all the things he could think "nightly" of, he thinks about some girl that he didn't even understand... Pretty interesting song | |
