I've always thought of this song be based on a person who had been pushed away by society that guy that "doesn't fit in". His anger began at home with problems in his family and his lack of friends. He has tried to fit in by achieving things but he doesn't feel complete. He looks around at society but all he sees is what's wrong with it so he's tired of being a reject so he wants to "leave his mark" as he "dissapears" he isn't scared of what he is going to do he just feels like he doesn't belong. Ultimately he goes off to commit mass murder before committing suicide hence "it may seem cynical". As rash as my interpretation may seem I see it this way because of how many killings there have been in the past because that one person was pushed around so much that he/she couldn't take it anymore and when he/she lashed back at society it was devastating. |

i Think this song is about a guy who meets a girl whos only interested in his money and in what he can give her. She fell in love as soon as she saw the diamonds and the "waterfalls of champagne". This guy later realize that this was all that the girl saw in him, and kinda regrets having met her. |

Im sursprised no one else has commented on this song, but my definition of this song is that its about a guy who's addicted to a relationship that may or may not be good for him, but he loves her to much and doesnt care what he as to go through to stay with her, cuz he's addicted to her. |

The One Thousand Suns Album is about WW2 and the Vietnam war, Robot Boy is (in my opinion) about how the Government practically "pushed" soldiers into war saying "u say u hav nothing to fight for huh? well maybe the pressure of the whole world telling u to fight will encourage u" in my opinion this refers to the "Hawks" and "Doves" the supported war and peace respectivelyand how the doves were being told to fight, but they didnt want to. |

To me this song is basically Superstar III, Because the song talks about how he's "been the photograph and I've been the lens" and in Superstar and Superstar II he talks about him wanting to be a superstar and him being a rising superstar. |
