This song is a cover-up. Everything about it spell the word cover-up. If you listen to the lyrics they're quite simple. Or obvious. So really, actually, the song isn't so much a cover-up as it is a "feeler." It's the song you send someone for they're reaction. To see if they're on the same page as you. The sender being the person in love -- the receiver; you don't know. so you send it and see what happens. if you're lucky they like it. if you're really lucky they love it. and considering the sender's "feeler" style to anticipate anything more is a stretch-- I'll give you that but that's all you get. And spare me--nothing to do with imogen heap and her earth-shattering omg how DOES SHE DO IT HER amazing vocals/lyrics/muffled/technological vocal abilities like really who gives a shit Brian Adams could have written this song for christs sake. But if the intended recipient directly and personally responds to your sending of this song (which was courageous as hell may I add)-- as in fully reciprocates their own personal feelings about you towards you for you and directly to you ayou towards you for you and directly to you--(which may or may not be what you want to hear--that's the risk you take as the sender btw), well you just won the lottery. |

| You're at the right shipping terminal NeoPorthos. The only problem is that ships aren't intended to be docked forever. They move-- some faster than others. Either way, eventually the ropes are untied and they sail away. This song isn't intended for that. It's intended to get on the fuckin ship already. Or your life may pass you by. And the next ship that takes it's place won't be the same. And you shouldn't want it to be. | |

amyellenp: stop the nonsense-- this song isn't about war or the nazis or about germany or about obama or about george bush. why is that every time there's a hot song out someone finds the need to make it a political tedious sleeping pill? prettylucky23: I totally disagree with you. This song is about sex at all. Taboo sex. Sex that isn't supposed to happen. Analogy: so you have 2 couples right. They're both (the couples that is--so 4 people total) madly in love with each other (or desperately maybe--one couple; who knows). anyone, one person out of the couples each is sent to prison for a crime they may or may not have committed. So now you have 2 couples split-up (voluntarily/unvoluntarily/it doesn't matter which). Then, the 2 sent to prison, the 2 that are desperately in love with their loved ones they left for committing crimes (or not-doesn't matter), fall madly in love with each other. What are they supposed to do? They're in prison. Their "loved ones" are outside desperately expecting (and some cases--madly anticipating) their release. But the 2 prison inmates are now in love and truth be known don't want to be released. And what do you have now? Guilt, pain, sadness, regret, torment, resentment, angry, pity, etc., etc.,. Not must else really. Just love. Figure it out. Listen to the song a million times, youtube it, upload in your Ipod. you'll get it eventually. It's my favourite. |

| yeah I agree Ihet I don't think she's speaking to "everybody" either-- it would just be nice to know who the fuck she is (1.), who the fucking she is speaking to/addressing (2.), and or if she's like 2 legit from ugly americans (the same person-duel style), speaking to everyone else that isn't them ^^ - I'm just saying. | |

First off: Who the fuck if Lali Puna? Second off: Who is she speaking to? Third off: Herself? Fourth off: Well done. |

| oh and yeah, she's a genius but she's also the biggest hypocrite to fake the earth. Her lyrics are merry-go-roundish at worst, painful at best. | |

| the only lyrical line that sticks with me (other than the melody)is: This isn't heaven. Ain't that the truth? Lali Puna is a genius. | |

Everyone here is just confused. I just read. wait, I apologize. I just saw a picture of peter doherty with a lot of orange, then I thought "who the fuck is that?" --he looks pretty though. Then I actually bought the babyshambles (is that a group? does peter doherty have a mother?)CD. Then I attempted to listen to the CD. A couple of songs; catchy at best, headache (migraine style) at worst. For the most part; painful. Then (as if that wasn't enough), I uploaded the CD into my computer via windows media center. Then, (as if that still wasn't enough), I've spent the last 3 plus hours reading the lyrics (cuz WE ALL know the insert is just outrageous) AND all of your ridiculous, yet all so clear (I mean clarity--to the fullest) interpretations/analysis/meanings. And I get it, I totally do. There isn't anything confusing about peter doherty, the babyshambles, carl, paul walden, and or Kate Moss. It just makes sense. The only question I have-- really just the one. Who the fuck is Pete Doherty? Thank you & God Bless. Just brilliant. |
