ok my interpretation of the song could apply to a Sexual relationship or just a platonic relationship. i think it is about him finally at the end of his rope...he has been putting up with this person trying to change him. the person doesn't like him for himself and go so far as to make him feel like some sort of outcast. In the song he is proclaiming he is finished with trying to please this person and he has found himself and is alright with who he is. All he wanted was this person to love him but they just wanted something he could not give them(a different version of himself). He is done with trying to please this person and could care less if they "broke him down." He is essentially done with them. at least thats what i got from it |
