I think it's about a man who is seperated from his significant other. He's being given reason to believe that she's being unfaithful towards him because of how he leaves her alone so much. Because she's lonely. He's telling her that's he's even lonelier, and when she misses him, to go outside because there are a million reminders of him everywhere. Oh, and they're obviously talking to each other on the phone. He's trying to make light of everything, but his anxiety, and passion drives him to go deeper, and ask more of her. Then the part, "am I getting through to you" is exactly what it says. Is he getting through to her? Easier to understand than other Thriving Ivory songs, for sure. |
