i definitely sense sarcasm in the first verse. "i'll drown my beliefs to have your babies i'll dress like your neice to wash your swollen feet" when he says "to have your babies" i think he means "to have babies with you" like to start a family. and i am pretty sure feet get swollen when you are pregnant (at leats i know my mom's did) it gets more sincere in the chorus saying true love waits, you dont need to change yourself for your "true love". it just doesnt seem very radiohead to write such a sincere love song. |
