Going to have to agree with SnuggleBunny on this one. Saying that a song like this is about "being yourself" is to reduce such a powerful song to a trivial cliché. Feeling "so unloved within that you almost died" is a despair that I wish on no one, and it's extremely difficult to explain to even those that care enough to listen. There's a huge difference between the ups and downs of a normal life and the profound misery of chemical imbalance, and judging by the other songs on the record (45 especially) a lot of the band has experienced this personally. |
