| As for the whispers... I either hear "you get abortion" which is unlikely, or "you get aboard this ship". | |
| Painted In Exile – Skylines Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Some people don't bother listening to heavy music because they think all it's about is death and marauding and Satan. But the people who listen "to the singing blade" see past that and into the real music. | |

This song reminds me of the game Half-Life. I know nobody wants to talk about video games, but think about it. "In simple times, we must take control" Earth is falling apart as a civilization, as aliens are appearing in cities and regions across the globe. The Combine appears on Earth and assumes a Police status worldwide, to try and eradicate the planet of all madness. "A simple land we must change...for man...is god" They see Earth as some small human inhabited planet, that isn't really important on a universal scale. They take over. That's all I got. |

Sorry, but your wrong. It's possible that the theme could have tied along with Bush, but it's been announced by the band that the album is about the limits of the Human Brain and how complex it is. From their website, "A group of outsiders trying to comprehend the strange worlds they all inhabit. From the truckers chatting about UFO sightings, to the power struggle of a cult leader, all the way to the story of a common man, leaving everything behind and floating to the middle of the ocean." yeah |

| Between the Buried and Me – Selkies: The Endless Obsession Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i agree with the whole tv/media fucking shit up concept, and then the solo at the end is like you are awakening from head up the ass syndrome. like you have learned what you need to hear from this song, and then the last part is having open eyes about what it is saying. | |
| Between the Buried and Me – Alaska Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| this song is one of the very few literal lyrics from BTBAM. most of their songs are meant to be interpreted ambiguously, so different people see it from a different eye. fuck that, this song is about going crazy in alaska. when is the fucking sun coming up? | |
