Circa Survive – Every Way Lyrics 14 years ago
He's obviously talking about his experiences with Atlantic and them completely molding them into something completely different than what he wanted to do with the new album. He's expressing his bitterness and regret towards deciding to sign with them and how frustrating it is to have to get everything you make reviewed and criticized and completely changed by some executive who doesn't care about your art or your music or your feelings about something you've created, and then it gets changed into something less beautiful than it originally was, all so that it can sound more like every other shitty band out there and the brain-dead masses of America and beyond can mindlessly listen, and not be compelled to think, or inspired to create.
Blue Sky Noise is Circa Survive, just dumbed-down Circa Survive.

Losing all creativity

It's a great song. I think he's talking about his experiences trying to work with their new major label, and that impeding their creative flow. As in Circa trying to create their sound, all the while the label trying to mold them into something else. "Nothing's going to change that hopeless feeling I get when you say you understand but I know you can't."

There's no reason to be here
we should pack up and leave
I have never felt that way before totally alone
there's no reason to leave
I have never seen you act that way before
totally exposed.
As you throw away the love that we made

I think he's talking about his unsureness of being on the new label and wanting to do things his way like he was able to do more of on Equal Vision, though after he signed that contract the whole Mr. Nice Guy act Atlantic was pulling was over, and "There's no reason to leave, I have never seen you act that way before, totally exposed" like he's finally realizing the true face of Atlantic and the consequences of signing with a shitty major label.

At least that's how I see it.

Circa Survive – Strange Terrain Lyrics 14 years ago
If you read through the lyrics of the song, you'll find that he's talking about switching to a major record label, and looking at it in it's wholeness - a corporation... "Who's the one pounding the gears, avoiding the crowds, keeping their ear to the ground?" I believe that this is Anthony's confession to regretting the decision to switch labels, being that Atlantic forced Circa to change their sound a ton on the new album.
At least that's how I saw it.
