Regina Spektor – Chemo Limo Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is a very sad, depressing song, especially if you've had a loved one have cancer. I have never known anyone with cancer, but when I first listened to this song with the lyrics, I literally cried. This is about a woman (even though it is speaking in first person) who is dieing of cancer in a dream. Her insurance agent talks to her boss and they decide there is no hope, so they tell her she'll be okay. They put up the offer for Chemo. She knows she has to do it, but doesn't want to. She wants to die in style rather than sick. She "wakes up" one morning, and realizes she's still sleeping because her kids are being quiet. She immediately dials the limosine company, and takes a limo with her children, because its a dream. The limo represents her road to death, but she doesn't care, because she is in good company with her children, she isn't feeling sick from chemo, and she is dying in style. She knows it's a dream because Benjamin Franklin is there and he is Cripsy, Crispy, because in reality, he is crusty bones in the grave. The whole song is about a dream, but I believe, in reality, she really is sick with cancer, but this dream is her way of dealing with it. Great song, but depressing.

Regina Spektor – *** Lyrics 15 years ago
This song, when played directly from the CD, is a transition song going to "Your Honor". ***, also called "Whisper", is soft and whispering, talking about the song that goes Dananananan. and then "Your Honor" starts off screaming "I KISSED YOUR LIPS AND I TASTED BLOOD. Dananananananan." So it's supposed to be a fun, creative contrast between soft and loud. Regina has SUCH a musical talent, I love her.

CocoRosie – Werewolf Lyrics 15 years ago
A lot of you have the meaning of this song so wrong. I've read a few interpretations that are right though. This song is about a girl who was raped and molested by her dad as a child. She then grows older and this is her testimony, trying to get over the events that happened in her childhood. Her father is now dead, but she sees him in her dreams. Her father was schizophrenic and evil. She is saying her heart is pure and crystal, but she is being weighed down with what has happened. She is shutting the door, and never looking back. She is making herself forget because it isn't helping her dwell on the past. Cocorosie is such a talented band. In there songs, the background noises are all made with children's toys. It's an eerie, emotional song about this girls life, and her getting over everything. She's praying her way through the rain, and looking to God for help in this dark time.
