I think people are reading into this song too much! Nothing to do with vampires I don't think, just a simple but great pop song about not being able to get someone off your mind! Maybe being infatuated or just in love! A great song to dance to though :) |

I'm not entirely sure what this song is about but I heard that a European source once gave him a tune which he was to put English lyrics to and having done that, he sent it back and later heard it on the radio. However, the song that he heard was in fact "My Way" by Frank Sinatra and although he wrote a set of lyrics for the song, he was not told that they were using it. So to get 'revenge' he thought he could write something just as good as just as successful and that was to be Life on Mars! Great story :) I think he said this in an interview with Parkinson back in 2002... YouTube may have it :) |
