I can't believe there aren't any comments on this song yet! It's the best one on the new CD! Okay so I've been thinking about this for a while now and I could be totally wrong here but I think that the song is about someone who is trying to find something good in life. He/she gave up everything they had for that "freedom" in their life and maybe they got it or maybe they didn't. But I think it's just an up and down life mainly about just wanting that so called freedom to be able to life "The Life" |

| I totally agree with milescoleman101. The literal meaning is about a football player, but when you look at it deeper it's about that "in the moment" feeling you get in life where you want everything to stay still and just be perfect. I also love the guitar at the end it's awesome. | |

| i saw a comment on a youtube video of this song from someone that went to the same high school that he graduated from and he/she said the song is about the high school he attended which is somewhere in indiana i think but its cool seeing someone write a song about there hometown/highschool like that i like it | |

IMO, this song is about an end of a relationship with something, everytime i hear it i think of the end of high school, like the end of something but they will still be friends and everything isnt completely over yet if you listen to the chorus it seems like that "So don't say your goodbye's You know its better that way We won't break, we won't die It's just a moment of change" |

this is such a great song i remember around the time of the school shooting episode of one tree hill a couple cast members were doing a commentary for that episode and people were wondering what puts them in the moods that they can just cry on the spot and lee norris said that he just listens to this song over and over again and it puts him in the right mood. this is such a sad song but in like the best way its such a soothing song to just lay back and relax to. |
