my post above this is meant for the song hollow. But this songs about how fucked up relationships are passed down through ppls misconceptions about life and coming to grips with the fact that you and your parents and your parents parents were all broken. Its a cry to say your gonna rise above it and actually make your life fulfilling instead of falling into the trap of your previous generations. Forcing religion upon ppl is fucking us up as a society. ppl need to be able to find their own god,their own way.

This song can be what you make it. phil wrote it about his unconcious friend. but to me it reminds me of my how my dad changed after my parents divorced when i was 6 1\2 and how he was hurt so bad by my mom leaving him that he was no longer the happy fun loving guy and became depressed and my true best friend has been gone ever since i was a child. My world flipped. I was exposed to reality at a young age. it changes you. He did come out of it after a couple years but the pain I inherited from it as a kid will be with me forever. it hits deep. Pantera were gods.

its about the time when you truly find yourself and realize amazing possiblities once you understand that religion is fake and you as an individual are more powerful than you realized before because of all the hypocrites who say their religious bringing you down for no good reason. you just gotta realize your better than that and you will become godsize. This music speaks to me.
