Both sides are stubborn and won't admit to still having feelings for the other person but the singer is finally deciding to give in, hence "at last that voice is gone". He's telling the girl to let go of all of the bad things and the hurt and come back when she can. And he's finally being honest and saying she's done nothing to make him love her less and he still has feelings for her. |

She has feelings for him though but she never told him how she felt because she was scared of what he would say in return. And now she regrets not telling him the truth.
