| Black Sabbath – Warning Lyrics

|
this song is black sabbath the way they should be. Ozzie's voice at his best. amazing guitar solos. blues riffs a plenty. the bass line all over the place, yet perfectly synchronised with the guitar. yes, its a cover, but sabbath do it so well!! |

| Ween – The Fruit Man Lyrics

tis clearly about an argument in a market, however knowing ween there is probably some really really really really (really) deep psychological meaning...
cool reggae track though, ween demonstrating their versatility with music and just how many genres they can cover |

| The The – Uncertain Smile Lyrics
|
i have listened to this song (and the whole album "soul mining") on repeat for months on end, the lyrics mean so much to me it's ridiculous. ive never ever had a connection to an artist like i have with "the the"
totally amazing. the line "A broken soul, Stares from a pair of watering eyes. Uncertain emotions force an uncertain smile" really speaks to me. i feel like every song on the album relates to all parts of my life
as for the exact meaning of this song, im really not sure haha, but im guessing its about letting a parter get close to you, and letting them "under your skin", yet still being uncertain about it all, as in afraid of being hurt |

| Pendulum – Through The Loop Lyrics
|
the lyrics are a sample from the original Willy wonka and the chocolate factory movie from 1971
its from the part where willy wonka goes mental and wants everyone to leave. dont know about you guys, but that movie gives me the creeps!
great song too :D |

| Pendulum – Tarantula Lyrics

i always thought it was "black tarantula" but looking at a few different lyrics sites, they say either "blad" or "the" tarantula...
how weird :-/
awesome song tho, killer basslines :D |

| The Bloody Beetroots – Warp 1.9 Lyrics
|
the song of your life can be summed in 6-8 words? :)
i like your interpretations of this song, but i get the feeling that the beetroots didnt have those sort of feelings in mind... i feel the "woop woop" is thrown in because the track is simply designed to be thrashed on the dance floor, people LOVE to scream it out, making the song catchy, making it an instant hit for gen Y, making the artists money. |

| The Bedroom Philosopher – Northcote (So Hungover) Lyrics
| 15 years ago
|
|
the album "songs from the 86" is written by the bedroom philosopher, and they are all about people travelling on the 86 tram around Melbourne. this particular story is about some poser emo kid trying to be so cool and modern, but coming off sounding stupid and pretentious. pretty funny i reckon, ive met a lot of people from adelaide and melbourne that are exactly like this :) |

i thought the end of the song related more to "your party" the next track on the album? effing epic song tho, love all 10 mins of it :) |

| Midnight Juggernauts – Tombstone Lyrics

great song, but probably not enough lyrics to really interpret what the juggers are talking about
its obviously something apocalyptic, but the song simply poses questions |

| Redgum – I Was Only 19 (A Walk in the Light Green) Lyrics
| 15 years ago
|
i saw the Herd perform their version of this a couple of years ago, and to my enjoyment John Schumann of Redgum came out on stage and sang along with them. My father met John years ago in Adeliade at his wedding (friend of a friend) and he is a bloody top bloke, and a brilliant song writer
this is one of my favourite songs of all time, timeless classic |

i dont care what the lyrics in this song are about, i just love the guitar riff and the intro. it kinda reminds me of "the tea party" but a bit heavier. |

| The Dandy Warhols – Good Morning Lyrics

agree with just about everyone above
beautiful
the chord progression, especially in the minute or so intro, is fantastic. it incurs awesome images of sunrises, happy times and good feelings.
one of the best songs to wake up to, guaranteed to make me smile :) |

| Regurgitator – I Sucked A Lot of Cock to Get Where I Am Lyrics
| 15 years ago

i wouldnt say its about someone taking shit, itd be about someone boasting about how far they got by being a cock sucker... people that suck up to bosses and people in general are slimy, so i think this is a song about boasting |

| Eric Bogle – The Band Played Waltzing Matilda Lyrics

i saw eric play this when i was about 13 when he was touring australia... i went with my dad and we both could not stop crying, it was so powerful and moving. eric bogle is one of the best folk singers ive ever heard in my life, i wish he were more well known, but i think hes pretty happy how it is now! nice bloke too, met him after the show, very friendly (and short haha) |

| The Chemical Brothers – Lost in the K-Hole Lyrics
| 15 years ago
|
of course, this is about "being lost in the K-hole" or taking Ketamine, Special K
users often feel like they are stuck inside a massive hole and cant move or get out, hence being "lost"
its a very overwhelming feeling, very humbling. |

| The Chemical Brothers – Let Forever Be Lyrics
| 15 years ago
|
i always thought it was "scream a symphony" rather than "scream out sympathy"
i get mental images of a meth addict sitting in the gutter after a huge bender, screaming at life in general after waking up in the sunshine, hating his life...
the next track on the album is of course "the sunshine underground" which lifts the mood a bit. both beautiful songs though |

| The Chemical Brothers – Where Do I Begin Lyrics
| 15 years ago
|
this is without a doubt one of my top five favourite songs of all time. when the crash's kick in and the song reaches its peak, im always so overcome with joy that i cant help smiling and grooving along with it... but then ending still gives me the shits.
obviously about the morning after a huge bender, not knowing where you are or even being able to pick up a coffee cup your so wasted. i love the how it can turn something so seedy into such an amazing song |
