Second line should be "AND they'll be the stars" "Seeking adults with a voice" should be "Seeking out those with a voice" |

I think there's something more specific about the lists that is being overlooked. Much of the people and things listed are examples of having a broader reach than they're typically labeled to have. Johnny Cash And PBR Jack Daniels Nascar These four are often associated with red necks despite having a much wider appeal. Johnny Cash is often labeled as "country", but many major rock artists recognize him as a rock inspiration. NASCAR is seen as something most popular in the south, but it has fans all over North America. For a long time PBR and JD were viewed as something hicks drank, but that's long since been untrue. Also pretty sure JD was Cash's drink of choice while PBR is a major racing sponsor. Myspace IPod Bill Gates These are the techie lines and represent "the strong survive", not that any of these no longer exist. Facebook came after Myspace, but quickly became the more popular. For many years Microsoft was the top brand, but thanks to the iPod it's Apple that is taking over. Smith and Wesson NRA Talking about firearms here of course, probably also reference the our second amendment right to bare arms. Thing is, Smith & Wesson is seeing a serious decline in sales while NRA membership is continuing to rise. Firewater Pale Face These are terms we see associated with Native Americans. Firewater is alcohol while pale face is whites. But we know what became of them. Dimebag Tupac Heavy Metal Hip-Hop Dimebag is to Heavy Metal what Tupac is to Hip-hop. It's also an example of being more famous in death than in life. Disneyland White House JFK And Mickey Mouse Like the previous one, Micky Mouse is to Disneyland what JFK is to the White House. It's a reference to being iconic and being bigger than what made you. John Wayne Springsteen Eastwood James Dean John Wayne and Clint Eastwood were both originally cowboy actors that were bigger than their genre. John Wayne actually lost to Eastwood in getting the lead role in Dirty Harry. I'm not entirely sure how Springsteen and Dean fit into this aside from also being huge icons strong believers in the American dream. Coca-Cola Pepsi Cola wars, but also world wide recognition, corporate giants. Playboy Text me Playboy is also huge world wide, the most recognizable name in the porn industry for sure. "Text me" is the "call me", it can be seen as another sex reference. It has even found its way onto those candy Valentines hearts NFL NBA Brett Favre King James More cross referencing. NFL - Brett Favre; NBA - Labron James. FFDP probably considers them the top of their sport and have certainly been in the spotlight enough that even non-sports fans know who they are. Something else that most of these have in common is a rebellious nature, breaking the mold, and doing the unexpected. FFDP probably sees their rapid rise as being the same as those listed. Just hope they don't have the disastrous end that some of these did. |

| Ozzy Osbourne – Let It Die Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Started hearing this on the radio this week. It does seem to be a song about letting go of the past and being who you are at any given moment. However I think more-so this is actually a song about Ozzy himself and all of the labels people have placed on him over the decades and how people have tried to relate themselves to him. Good song, it fits him. | |
