Everyone in here is just saying how they like the song and not what its about so i will explain what i think. Its most probably about a kid who was growing up and his parents wanted him to be something they couldnt get and then they can feel good becuase they dont have to do any hard work to get there this line sums it up the best If you want to feel good Because of our accomplishments Why the fuck Don't you just do it yourself The kid also did hard work for the parents benifit and the parents lied to him to make him do this. This line kinda shows that aswell. Cause I've tried Man I've tried While you all lied So now just tell me How does it feel How does it feel How does it feel To be like you Infact the whole song is really like this. I can intrpret more but i will just feel like im repeating myself. Anyway i think Dexter wrote this becuase i think his parents forced him like REALLY forced him to work hard at school in which he became Valedictorian which his parents never were so his parents can feel good about themselves. |
