oh, damn you! I saw them two weeks ago and I wanted them to play this so badly, but they didn't. I was so disappointed. They did "Catapult", though, which is also a great B-Side, from "Cornerstone". |

Well, I'm pretty sure it's about a guy whose girlfriend is cheating on him constantly. "Pull the woll over the gullible"- she's stringing him along, and he is innocent enough to believe everything is fine. He figures out the truth (Joining the Dots) by the way she comes home at night ("Smoke in your hair", "Blood in your bruise", Kicking off her shoes). "Those people make me calm the flame"- Could also be "Count the flame", hard to hear what's he saying. either way he lists the guys she's been sleeping with, and it turns him off to her. Then he asks her if it's "all the same" to "Have you to myself". asks her to stop fooling around with others. That's what I think. Hoping poor alex turner doesn't get cheated on :) |
