I think that 505 it is a reference to some particular place or special time with a girl About the lyrics, here are my interpretations of some parts.. (I probably still adore you With your hands around my neck Or I did last time I checked) maybe it refers to an intimate/romantic moment or maybe refers to a situation where you feel hanged but you still likes it... (I'm not shy of a spark The knife twists at the thought that I should fall short of the mark Frightened by the bite no it's no harsher than the bark A middle of adventure, such a perfect place to start) he does not mind doing it without protection, have a feeling that can go wrong, is more scared of how fast everything has happened, but he know everything is perfect because it is happening at the right time.
