I love this song!! Well the meaning is pretty obvious, from the view of Gankutsuou the mysterious man. How he loves a woman and the friends. According to my memory, the story begins like this: 1.A man and a woman was in love.Very typical. 2.The lovers were very happy until one of their mutual friend, General Fernand Mondego, together with some other people betrayed the man. 3.For some reason, the man faced wrongful imprisonment for many many years. He has to leave his girlfriend who could have been his wife. 4.The man was so sad and angry, he determined to revenge on all those people who've betrayed him. 5.The woman didn't realize about the betrayal and she eventually married to the "mutual friend" who've betrayed the man she loved all the time. 6.So after years, the happy couple has a son Albert , they never thought the man disappeared for years would come back with his raging revenge, using the son Albert as his tool to ruin all their lives. 7.This is the song of the otherwise innocent loving man but was compelled to become the dreadful demon. I just love this song. The piano is so deep and beautiful, the melody is so touching, and the story, I'm not a good story teller, the original story is incredibly tragic and beautiful. The man just want his girl back, he just want the love back and what's wrong with that? I hate the treachery, selfishness and evil in people. That has caused too many tragedies, sadness and heartbreaks in the world... |

Whoa!First I thought this song is about wanting a girl back, then I thought maybe there's another meaning about wanting to be a better person, cause one has fallen apart or got lost. No wonder there's such a complicated sadness in the song. The song has three-layer meaning to me now. Definitely will love it till the end. Love this song. It can evoke that kind of warm, bittersweet feeling. First heard this song in So You Think You Can Dance S3. Ever since the song appeared as the bgm when the show finished, I couldn't let go of this song! Like the song, love Cheryl, dislike the video. I'd prefer if she doesn't fight this hard, especially when she seems to be so sad. Watching the video saddens me. Maybe it's because of the make-up?But all I see is uncertainty and sadness in her eyes. If you have to fight, fight more fiercely. But what's the point when that blind-man (to me, he's dead already)cheated twice? Wait, I know the point. I know why I don't think it's worthy for her to fight any longer, because he is the one who've lost, he's totally a loser, why fight if he's already lost? True that we should always fight for love, we should trust love. I believe all Cheryl fans would love to fight with her against all odds, all rumors, anything. But it isn't about her with Ashley or not, it's about her being happy or not. We all love her smile. This is the first and one of the three songs out of all Britney's songs that I love. I'm so surprised (impressed) that this song was actually written by her. How come this is even better than those written by professionals? The lines are simple, yet the feeling within is strong. 'Everytime I see you in my dreams I see your face, you're haunting me' Those unforgettable faces do haunt us somehow. It's usually hard for broken pairs to move on, and obviously it's been tough, extremely tough for her to, and Justin was already moving on quite well. Not a Britney fan, but undeniably this is a touching song, it made me wanna pray for her. It's a touching, miserable, sad song ('this song is my sorry')and I've to say, I love it. |
