IMO I'd have to agree that it's about parents because at the end he says "I like you anyway" and kids always say they hate their parents but in reality they still like them. Also the title is pretty much the nail in the coffin because when you square root a number say 9 you get 3 and 3x3 is 9 and there are two numbers for the answer(two parents) and one square root (the kid). Yeah a surprisingly deep title... |

For the people saying barn animal noises are brutal or hardcore, I have yet to understand the brutality of a guy getting his crotch crushed by jeans from Hot Topic and squealing like the guy from Deliverance (I guess crotch crushing jeans could be considered brutal or br00t4l nowadays whatever you trendy scene kids like to call it). There's nothing brutal about this band maybe with the exception of them being brutal or torturous listen to their "songs" if you can truthfully call them that. Some of you might say "OHZ YOU PUZZY YOU CANTZ HANDLELZ REALZ MUSIC", if you consider "REALZ MUSIC" like this utter trash then yes I can't handle it. I prefer to listen to bands like Death, Atheist, Cynic, Children of Bodom (older), Morbid Angel, Necrophagist, etc. You know bands that just don't fucking "chuggah chuggah" their guitar or use excessive blasting without keeping time and call it music. Bands that actually write lyrics that make you think and not just these pseudo brutal lyrics that try too hard to be like Cannibal Corpse but fail miserably. |

I think this song is about Stephen King's novel, "The Dead Zone".
"The Dead Zone" is about Johnny Smith, a person who gets into a car crash and is stuck in a coma for five years. After he awakes, he can foresee all these events or know about people's personal lives through simply touching them.
Other reasons why I think it is about "The Dead Zone" for example lyrics like "Don't shake the hands of fate, there is no more time to waste!" emphasize the theme of the novel. Johnny has to prevent this guy called Greg Stillson from becoming president or else he'll cause a nuclear apocalypse. This is where Johnny can't "shake the hands of fate" he has to change the future for himself since he is the only one who knows about it and save the world. |
