| I think the line about being "born to be the woman we could blame" is more so about how while she may have been the one who ordered these murders and practiced permitted and encouraged worship of false gods she was not the king and not the one anointed by God.So while evil and sinful she was the one who people blame for their own sinfulness and what good she did have was ignored so that she could take the blame for a nation of sinners. The wrongs of many are laid at her feet.When thought of this way you can ALMOST empathize with her and she would take on a role of a martyr. It is what God gave her to do. To face the world and and a foreign God's wrath does take bravery, and stupidity. | |
