The 1st half of the album is about is about failure- the second half is about accepting failure. This is very much a concept album, the first half has more "radio friendly" songs that are catchier, but the 2nd half is just as (if not more) important than the first half. "Come Around" is the last track b/c its a reminder that there is hope that we can rise above our own disappointment and be what we want to be. |

| Counting Crows are very meticulous in how they organize their albums so if you truly want to understand this song then you have to listen to the entire RTS album all at once."Walkaways" is a really short song for a reason, it serves as the conclusion of the album and captures on the themes of disappointment and regret that are in well represented throughout the album. They borrowed this idea from their rivals "Hootie and the Blowfish", on their 1994 album "Cracked View Mirror" the final track is about minute long and serves the exact same purpose. | |
