this song could have 2 meanings in the first case iv'e noticed that he keeps comparing "monkeys" to a biblical reference and angels on the sideline. This i believe could be a reference to the constant debate for the truth, which no one absolutely knows. The second meaning is unreasonable violence. The song states that the "angels" watch the monkeys continue to fight over "pieceson the ground" thus explaining why they are "baffled and confused." After the lyrics state that after they fight; that someone, (probably god because of the religous mash-up) gave them thumbs to forge a blade. Finally,it states that the angels sit theere just waiting and waiting for them to realize that they are fighting for practically no reason. |
