To me, this song is about maybe someone who used to have a lot of close friends, but those relationships started to get more difficult to maintain. By the title, is it right for me to assume that the person speaking tried to kill themselves? Maybe failed and then everybody suddenly wants to be his friend again. To be honest, I was in that position myself and after it happened to me, I got an influx of people just wanting "to talk" and they were people who I had some kind of relationship in the past with, who didn't care about talking when we were friends. This song kinda illustrates the feelings I had about those people, trying to make conversation, but really the whole time you're wondering "what happened to us?" That's just what the song means to me. |
