I just found out that they performed the album "Songs of Leonard Cohen" with Beck and other's as part of Beck's "Record Club" project.. maybe that would explain it. |

Yes! I was totally thinking the same thing.. especially in the line "Oh Marianne, pass me the joint," and that section of the song. And there's another section where I hear the Mamas and the Papas, "the empty sky surrounds me but i can't see at all" - think "California Dreamin'" |
