| The Goo Goo Dolls – Nothing Is Real Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I like the existentialism in this song: "Nothing is real, it's all what you believe, something you dream inside your head". | |
| Trading Yesterday – Love Song Requiem Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
This song is basically about unrequited love. The singer loves Emily but she probably has a boyfriend. "Emily will find a better place to fall asleep" = She's with her boyfriend, who she assumes is better for her than the singer. The fairytales are the life that she has with her boyfriend. The future memories are the experiences she'll have with her boyfriend and not the singer. The singer hopes for a life with Emily and wonders why he doesn't have her in the same way. "I die each time you look away" = Emily doesn't look at him the way he looks at her. She only has eyes for her boyfriend, not for the singer. The chorus is about how this situation is ripping his heart out. The second verse is how the singer believes he's a better match for Emily. "Maybe she will save me in the oceans of her dream" = Emily obviously cares for the singer too. She has pondered being with the singer, because she dreams about him. The singer hopes that she will seek out the part of her brain that he is hidden in and run with it. Basically by deciding to be with him, she is rescuing that part of her brain that is saying "be with singer, and not my boyfriend". The singer hopes that Emily will "maybe someday love" him. Beautiful song. I wish I wasn't in a situation to relate to it. |

| Backstreet Boys – Poster Girl Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| A "right now" poster child (or girl) is one who epitomizes the "right now" lifestyle.. a.k.a somebody who lives in the moment. Young, wreckless, free, hedonism etc. This song is soaked in bittersweet nostalgia. Great song. | |
