| totally agree with the words, great interpretation, and I do agree totally, but I believe theres a double meaning, a play on words so to speak. The spelling, the ten, and the white noise all is literally about the transistor radio, but it works so well in a visual/lyrical sense, thats why this song is a perfect example of calebs genius. and whats better than a song that can be interpreted a million different ways? | |

| "nod" also refers to someone whos on drugs "coppin a nod" when they get all f'd up so it does make sense, just my opinion :) | |

| oops, didn't see your post before I posted, but obviously i totally agree :) | |
| Kings of Leon – Trani Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| spelling it T-R-A-N-I refers to the transistor radio....T-R-A-N-N-Y is a transvestite. I was told that a transistor radio on channel 10 is all white noise. this could still be a drug reference and a transvestite reference, just probably a purposeful double meaning. | |

hmm..this is one of the harder lyrics to make out, but I've listened to it so many times, I'm going to venture a guess... How many souls will it take? How many necks will you break? I say, gimme the bucket I'll wear it (something) that little old shed I said hey! I'm sold from afar But you don't try showed you my car but I don't drive Let me get away on a holiday we could try the ones we know (?) go to Colorado (?) I said hey! I'm sold from afar but you don't try me I showed you my car but I don't drive (something something??) running down my back we could kick it together in town stroll till the sun goes down I said hey! I'm sold from afar but you don't try me I showed you my cars but I don't drive I said hey! I'm taken aback like you don't know you blow me away when you don't try.... Thats how I sing to it anyways! Maybe someday Caleb will clear up the mysteries :) |

| Kings of Leon – Day Old Blues Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I believe this is another song Caleb wrote about his issues with depression(black Thumbnail is another). He goes through bouts of bi-polar(ish) moods so I've heard. If thats true, then maybe they last only a day or so, and on those days, he gets anxious about his success and the pressures(lo and behold things are killin me) that come with the "dream" becoming reality. when he refers to "dreamin bout a place I'll never see" i think he's refering to Heaven. There is a lot of Christian guilt in Calebs writing, for obvious reasons. I think he battles with the idea of him not making it into Heaven. And in the final verse I think could be about his Mom going through the same bouts of depression when they where younger, with 3 kids, (maybe Jared was a cryer!) and the hubby not helping out. anywho, the beautiful part about Calebs writing is that it is open to interpretation, and many of us can take something personal away from it. Love the song, love KOL. | |

| yeah, I read that too, but Caleb probably just got the line from this, I don't think the song is about the cousin | |
| Kings of Leon – McFearless Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think I heard Caleb say that this is about his stagefright, and how he overcomes it | |
| Kings of Leon – McFearless Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| You must think your soooo smart!!! what big words, and all of us retarded KOL fans must have never seen such a cerebral movie as Shawshank Redemption!!! You have a very sad life if you look for comments on songs from bands you DON'T like just to post rude comments...must have to make yourself feel better since I'm pretty sure you're only friend is your computer. Concern yourself with music you LIKE rather than DON'T like. I mean, really, it's all a matter of opinion... nodody says you have to like it or listen to it, so grow the f**k up and try and do something productive and positive with all your obviously free time, douchebag. :) | |

| Definetly Matt. Caleb mentions this in an interview... | |
| Kings of Leon – Genius Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| It's about pressures from the record company, about "hangers on" the people that only like them for their (potential)success and what they think they can get out of it, and about the downside of fame- Caleb can't even have a minute to himself to jerk off in the bathroom. I think this song is ALL Caleb, cuz he seems to have the most issues with the "fame" part. | |
| Kings of Leon – Manhattan Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| definetly about the Native Americans struggle for land...Manhattan was the native lands of the Lenape Indians. When I first heard it thats what I thought it was about, but I was unaware that their family has native blood, which made it make way more sense. | |
| Kings of Leon – Manhattan Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Absolutely right on with the lyrics...and when they are written correctly, it is obviously about the native americans struggle for land | |
| Kings of Leon – Rememo Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| it's about a friend/family member getting date raped and them(Caleb, Nathan) going back to OK City ( where a lot of their family is from) real quick to rectify and kick the guys ass and put him in jail. The giggling virgins part is probably an experience during the traveling part, like girls who recognized Caleb on the plane, but it doesn't matter to him like it usually would cuz he's on a mission and NOT in a good mood. My take, anyways! | |
