Mumford & Sons – Feel the Tide Lyrics 15 years ago
To me this is a true story,
Of a preist who lost his way unsure of the world and everything in it,
He turns his back on his faith and runs away with something beautiful.

Tom Waits – Nighthawk Postcards (From Easy Street) Lyrics 15 years ago
i really like the flow of this and how it progresses into the end, but if this is a poem, rather than a song... I feel that the rhyming scheme distracts from the raw content.

just some constructive criticism. The best writing is when your only writing words because its what you want to express of the words flow on their own, not for the sake of a rhyme.

I gave up on rhyming as i got further into my writing, trying something new can be good :)
I think your talented just needs something more. check out some of mine in my journals to see what i mean.

Say Anything is brilliant and that quote is beautiful, especially the last line.

As much as this post may not be positive,

The Klaxons – Gravity's Rainbow Lyrics 15 years ago
The guitar
plus the pitch in his voice
makes this song suddenly intriguing.
"come with me we'll travel to infinity"

Arcade Fire – My Body Is a Cage Lyrics 15 years ago
completely agree, though my language is dead, shows how he can no longer communicate with those trapped in the material world around him he can see the shapes, but does not know how to fully describe the material in words.

I could get lost in this song for days... enthralled in the solitude of his haunting voice.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Hello Tomorrow Lyrics 15 years ago
This song uses the same repetitive soft spoken nature as broken social scene's "anthems for a seventeen year-old girl"
highly recommend to anyone who enjoy this song.
