| Puscifer – Polar Bear Lyrics | 13 years ago |

A person has been distancing himself, shutting himself off to friends and family, burning a lot of bridges, perhaps due to depression or some other need for isolation and they have probably stepped on some toes trying to run away and hide. The tone when the words "I'll be there" are spoken, followed immediately by what is rather frightening and intense music..... I wouldn't want him there for me :P I don't get the impression that the narrator is there to help, more to watch the subject suffer, or help him sink faster. Polar bears on their rapidly melting ice floats is lovely imagery for an ANALOGY but this song is mostly likely NOT a political stand against global warming. |

It's essentially a break-up song. You fucked me over, now you're going to pay. Who hasn't felt this way? If only Puscifer put this song out like, a year ago, I would have been in heaven. :D |

| Re-reading the lyrics yet again, the entire first verse could be spoken to himself. Just another possibility. | |

I heard this song for the first time last night and fell completely in love with it. While not religious myself, I think the overtones are quite clear though they may not dictate the entire direction of the lyrics either. I'm glad a couple people have pointed out that the relationship very well could have been homosexual, whether the singer's partner was male, or if his female mate left him for another woman. While I don't think that this is an important detail it could certainly meld with the religious aspects of coming clean, as there is still a fairly large stigma when it comes to homosexuality and Christianity. Now that I'm done picking everything apart, I think that most people can identify with the sheer heartbreak that this song embodies, feeling betrayed, feeling guilty when you've done nothing wrong, etc. A true success in storytelling, and the emotion it conveys is so sweet and sad. An instant favorite, to say the least. |

So this time Eminem is beating a woman because he loves her, and it's totally ok as long as she hits him back. Also, women like being beaten by Eminem. Thanks, Rhianna. |

| I think it's rather obvious that this song is condemning the use of pot and the complacency it tends to inspire, to "never stray, just move ahead" - which is compared to the blind following of soldiers in the military. Not a compliment, coming from Maynard. Made especially ironic when several audience members lit up the second they heard the intro in concert. | |
