| Why is that perverted? It's a valid statement made to humorous and actually makes a little bit of sense. The words fit, the song could def. be about unwanted pubic hair, and there is nothing perverted about that. Now if I said this song is about ejaculating on someone and therefore they feel "you all around them" now that would be perverted. | |

First of all, Breaking Benjamin is one of the greatest bands of all time! I think this song (like many others on this album) are about Ben's fight to get over alcoholism. In this song I think Ben is battling with himself. Saying I can do this in some parts, and I can't do this in the other. "I can feel you falling away." He's saying, "Hey, your dying.." "No longer the lost, no longer the same." Your not the person you used to be. "And I can feel your starting to break." And you feel like your about to lose it." "I'll keep you alive, if you show me the way. "Show me you want to get past this, that your willing to try, "Forever, and ever." If you die, it's forever.. "The scars will remain." Now he's thinking about just letting go and if he survives his pain is still going to show. "I'm faling apart, Leave me here forever in the dark." I'm already dying, just let me go. "Daylight dies, blackout the sky" It's getting dark. Metaphorically and literally "Does anybody care? Is anybody there? Why am I fighting myself about this? Doesn't anyone else care? "Take this life, empty inside, I'm already dead." Just let me die, I'm empty now, I'm basically already dead anyways. "I'll rise to fall again" If I do fight this I'll just fall again later. repeat chorus "God help me I've come undone, out of the light of the sun/son (I think this might be son as in jesus)." He's either thinking "God help me I've been in the darkness ((sun) just a dark place)so long I just want to give up or in the darkness as in a dark place out of the grace of jesus the son of god. and in the end the redundant "Give me a signs" (which I love) he's thinking just show me you want to do this and I can make it. Idk though I could be completly wrong, but that's what I think of when I hear it so I'm just gonna throw it out there, If you don't want it you can send it right back. lol |

I think this song is about the pressure of losing one's virginity. Today's society push sex in almost every aspect of life so much that some people might feel pressured to lose it as they grow older, especially in high school. Basically peer pressure and the "everyone's doing it" aspect of today's world make the people who are religious and say they want to wait for marriage feel like, for lack of a better word, losers. And i just feel like the song is talking about the night that your about have sex for the first time and its basically a fight with yourself whether to do it or not. |
