I think this song is about love but also it's about Satanism. It doesn't always have to be about someone in a relationship. You can make up stories, and try to change it to suit your own story all you want. The truth is...
There are a lot of Satanic references in this song. Not saying that is a bad thing, I'm just saying... There are hidden messages for those of us who know how to look just a little bit deeper. ;) |

I think that this is one of my all-time favorite songs. I was dating a guy named Jessie once. We used to always hang out at his cousin's house. His cousin always used to look at me with "those eyes" and I knew he liked me. But he'd never act on it, they were such good friends and everything... I can imagine this is pretty close to how he felt. Anyway, one day this song came on the radio while we were at his house and he was singing it under his breath while looking right at me. XD And secretly this song would describe my feelings for him and his girlfriend too. I hated seeing him with her.
Anyway, about 8 years later I had long since broken up with Jessie and ran into his cousin... Random chance. I'd stopped going to his house for fear of running into my ex and he wondered where I'd disappeared to. He said he missed me and I never really knew he cared THAT much. Well, now after all this time we're finally dating. So sometimes you do get the girl, just not when you think you will!
I think this song speaks for itself where meaning is concerned though. It's blatantly obvious. I kind of wish I knew if this song was written for a real girl or who it was written for. I love hearing stories like that! ^_^ This song is so beautiful! I'll never forget it now. |
