Actually, what I think it might be about is their hatred towards both their fathers. Dougie hates his father for walking out on his family, and maybe he's hinting that he was on pills, whether it be pain killers or whatever. "If fools were meant to fuck you, then why do fools fall in love?" This lyric can mean the how his parents were supposedly in "love" but ended up getting divorced, which is a load of bullshit, in his sense. Danny, part, is very obvious. When Danny was 17 and in McFly, his dad cheated on his mum with another woman and they too got divorced. By saying: "Must of missed the chapter when, I was seventeen years old... and theres nothing left but loss." he doesn't understand what went wrong between his parents, and he also hates his father for what he did. Also, on the Wonderland CD, Danny and his sister, Vicky, wrote "Don't Know Why" which is another song to explain his hatred towards his dad. And when Dougie was in his band before McFly, Ataiz, he wrote the song "Take A Look Around" which indicated that no matter what he did, his father didn't care about it. With the lyrics: "They won't let go, when you see them coming. Please let me know" This means that if anyone sees their fathers anywhere to please let them know because they do not want anything to do with them. |
