I think it's a song about our history of conquests. We big countries tend to wage war and take over those smaller countries, kind of like when europeans came to america and ridded it of native americans. And we never learn from this, and instead, we are "rummaging for answers in the pages," meaning we refer to history to fix our mistakes, but just repeat the mistake again. and we make statues to support our efforts, but eventually, "our noses have begun to rust," and the truth comes out. brilliant song! |

I get this message: those little things in life hurt us over and over again, but we engage in them anyway. we live and face dilemmas, but also learn to forget regret. it truly is a beautiful song with suck great meaning. regina is amazing! |
