Heavenly's the band whose drummer (Matt Fletcher) was the singer (Amelia Fletcher)'s little brother. What Craig's probably referring to is that Matt killed himself. Apparently it happened after he started on antidepressants before warnings came out that they increased risk of suicide. Heavenly broke up after Matt's suicide, and then reformed later under another name. The single is probably "Our love is heavenly" which is pretty much exactly how it sounds. Later in Heavenly's career, they got a lot more cynical about love. If the single's "PUNK girl" that also might make sense, since it's about a simple infatuation on an EP which is otherwise incredibly sad and primarily is about rape. This song is so fantastic. |
