| I don't think this song is promoting sex because for one Katy isn't says "Hey kids go have sex! It's fun!" She's saying that being in love with this guy makes her feel young again and that the things he does to her just reminds her of being a teenager again. Teens do things like that, I would know being 16. It's not like it's something we're just learning about, it's been that way for a long time. I really love this song and it's how I feel about my lover at the moment =] Thank you Katy for the fabulous song! | |

I fully agree with ladylunacy about this song. It hits so close to home for me it's hard to listen to but I love it so much. To me this song is about a woman who loved a man and he made her believe that he loved her just as much as she loved him, later she finds out all his feelings for her were false. But even though she was so hurt by this she will still always love him no matter what. "So I reach for your love like the moon and the stars. Ever in my sight, ever out of touch" She is there watching him be happy with another woman but yet she still finds her heart aching for him. God, this song is more like my situation than I realized... |

One way I see this song is that a woman is in love with a man but he doesn't love her the same or anymore, but no matter what she does she remembers him and the things he would do to her "When you say my name when you hold my hand, when you whisper in my ear the things that only you could understand." Another way I see it is that the man the woman is with has changed over time maybe. Like the way he treats her or something like that. But every time he touches her she remembers the way he use to be and she wants the old him back. "Every other touch runs as cold as ice if I get too close I may pay the price" might mean that he has started abusing her. She knows his good side is still there she just doesn't know how to bring it out of him again, "I would recognize your shadow in a crowded room, change your name a million times, it wouldn't change my mind or what I hope to find in your heart underneath" But she really wants things to be how they were before "And I want you to say my name" meaning say it how you use to. I absolutely love this song and Emilie Autumn is a goddess! <3 |

I think this song is about trusting someone you know will hurt you in the future but giving them your heart anyway. In the video they played it off as the girl taking his heart and not being careful with it and just playing with it basically, then turning into one of the others that did the same thing to him. At least that's what I got from it. I really love this song, though it hits really close to home for me.. |
