YAY!!!!First comment!! though it's the saddest, simplest song on the cd, I absolutely love it. It's so poignant. however, I was just wondering, is his father the dad in the song or is his dad the "me" and the "I"? |

When i first heard this song I was like Wow,this song has a lot in common with the movie"Twilight". Some of the lines like "Cmon grow old with me and surely you will see" it's similar to what he says at the end of the movie. But after I realized it was first released in like 2003, I was like never mind!Love this song though. It's one of my favorites of Thriving Ivory other than Angels on the Moon and Kiss The Rain. |

I think it's definitely about 9/11 as everyone, on the forum here and even Wikipedia, is saying.Someone said it was about his friend who had a disease and that would make sense too. Because some of the lines like: "I want to feel,All the chemicals inside,I want to feel,I want a sunburn"
I also don't get what he means by Angels on the Moon, if someone could explain that to me.
But I love this song! It's one of my top 5 favorite songs, #2 actually. Thriving Ivory's 1 of my favorite artists ever. |

I don't get the "one poor child who saved this world and this ten million more who probably could" part. If the child's Jesus, why are there ten million more?
Anyway, one of my favorite songs ever!!!! |

I totally agree with rockisgroovy. Normally, Jonsi's songs are so vibrant, but this one was kinda solemn and gloomy almost. But it's ok, I love that too. Jonsi's the best. |

When I first heard Owl City, I noticed that he made a lot of references to sleep. But it wasn't until recently that I found out about his sleeping disorder. It all made sense then. I love his songs. They're always so full of life. He reminds me of Jonsi. But just with more electronics..... |

Good grief, I was looking on the front page comments. "It's talking about God" "No it's not" "yes it is" "no it's not" For crying out loud! Songs can be interpreted in so many ways. Ok, so the singer said why he wrote it. So what? Songs leave area for speculation. On certain days, a song can say so much more.I like to see the more Christian point of view, but that's just because I am. But as I said, others have their opinion and they're entirely welcome to it. |

Songs can mean anything, anything one wants to interpret it as. It's true they wrote it about a drug-addicted teen, but I can see it in so many lights. I love this song. It's so deep. |

This is such a beautiful song, such a great example of Lifehouse's work. However the meaning is so "meaningful'.i felt the same feeling so I relate a lot to this song. I also can see how people tend to relate to Simon and Jesus too. A song can be seen in so many lights.Awesome song. I love Lifehouse. |
